Elite Plan : Rules & Risk Parameters

Key trading limits, drawdown rules, and compliance requirements.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Summary

The Elite Plan is MegaTrader’s most rule-intensive evaluation phase, designed to test traders under live-style pressure. With a real-time drawdown and strict position sizing, this plan leaves no room for error. Traders must maintain compliance across all risk parameters to pass the challenge and advance to a Simulated Funded Account.

Intraday Trailing Drawdown

Elite accounts use a real-time intraday trailing drawdown. This drawdown adjusts upward as new profit highs are reached and is enforced throughout each trading session.

Account Size

Trailing Drawdown

$25,000

$1,000

$50,000

$2,000

$100,000

$3,000

$150,000

$4,500

If your account balance drops below the active trailing drawdown at any time, the account fails immediately.

Position Size Limits

Elite Plan traders must never exceed the contract limits for their account size:

Account Size

Max Position Size

$25,000

1 Contract / 10 Micros

$50,000

5 Contracts / 50 Micros

$100,000

10 Contracts / 100 Micros

$150,000

15 Contracts / 150 Micros

Violating these limits will result in automatic disqualification, even if the trade is profitable.

35% Consistency Rule

To ensure sustainable performance, Elite Plan payouts are subject to the 35% Consistency Rule:

  • No single trading day may account for more than 35% of total profits at the time of a payout request

  • If violated, payout approval will be delayed until profits are more evenly distributed

Minimum Trading Days Requirement

You must complete at least 10 trading days before requesting your first payout—and again between each subsequent payout.

  • A trading day counts if at least one trade is placed between 6:00 PM EST and 5:00 PM EST the next day

  • The 10-day counter resets after every approved payout

Platform Compliance

All trades must be executed on approved platforms:

  • Project X

  • Tradovate

  • NinjaTrader

Use of unauthorized bots, APIs, or unapproved software tools will result in account termination.

Violations & Resets

Accounts will be marked as failed if any of the following occur:

  • Breaching drawdown

  • Exceeding contract limits

  • Using unsupported trading tools or platforms

To resume, you may:

  • Use a Reset Credit, or

  • Purchase a new Elite Plan subscription
