What to Do If Your Trading Account Is Inactive ?

Steps to reactivate inactive accounts.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Summary

If your MegaTrader account appears inactive, it usually means the plan wasn’t activated, has expired, or the account has been paused due to inactivity or rule violations. Here’s how to identify the reason and what steps to take.

Step 1: Check Plan Status in Your Dashboard

Log into your MegaTrader dashboard and navigate to the My Accounts or Subscriptions section. Look for:

  • Expired or Inactive label next to the account

  • Missing plan or no active subscription

If there is no active plan, you’ll need to purchase one to reactivate trading.

Step 2: Confirm Payment Completion

If you recently signed up, verify that your plan purchase went through successfully. You can:

  • Check your email for a payment confirmation receipt

  • Review transaction status in your account billing section

  • Contact support if the payment was made but the account hasn’t activated

Step 3: Check for Rule Violations or Account Failures

Your account may have been paused or marked inactive due to:

  • Exceeding max drawdown limits

  • Violating trading rules (e.g., contract size, consistency rule)

  • Breaching terms of use (e.g., hedging, trade copying)

Visit the Notifications section in your dashboard for alerts or warnings.

Step 4: Was Your Account Reset or Cancelled?

If your plan was manually cancelled or reset, your account may return to an inactive state until:

  • A reset credit is applied (if applicable)

  • You start a new challenge or plan

Subscription cancellations also deactivate all associated accounts.
