Delayed Market Data : How to Fix

Steps to restore real-time data access.

Summary

If you see delayed quotes or charts in MegaTraderX, it’s usually due to incomplete activation, skipped agreements, or session issues. This guide shows how to restore your live feed.


Sign Required Agreements

Real-time data requires completing the Non-Professional Data Agreement on first login.

  • Prompts appear automatically in MegaTraderX.

  • If skipped, your feed will remain delayed until completed.

  • Always log in with your official MegaTraderX credentials from your dashboard.


Wait for Account Activation

Live data is only enabled once your MegaTrader account is fully active.

  • New or pending accounts may show delayed data temporarily.

  • Access typically syncs shortly after activation and payment confirmation.


Refresh Your Session

If data still lags after setup:

  • Log out and back in

  • Clear browser cache and cookies

  • Try a private/incognito window for a clean session


Confirm Platform Settings

Inside MegaTraderX:

  • Check that you’re viewing active contracts

  • Reload the instrument list if charts look frozen

  • Reset workspace layouts if needed


Data Throttling on Inactivity

MegaTraderX may throttle data after long idle periods.

  • Refresh charts or switch tabs to reinitialize

  • Logging out and back in also resets the stream
